Salvatore Rubbo, Don Rubbo's brother. Read how Donald and Uncle Sal connected!
Imagine a world where a simple bowl of soup sparks empathy, joy, connection, generosity and learning for kids and families everywhere. That’s the heart of My Father’s Miraculous Rock Soup, a unique 3-part storybook that blends timeless lessons with modern creativity!

Why This Book Matters Now
In a time when connection and healthy living are more vital than ever, My Father’s Miraculous Rock Soup nourishes young minds with lessons in cooking, kindness, and collaboration. This story celebrates the miracle of sharing small offerings to create abundance for all, inspiring kids to grow, cook, and share vegetables in school gardens and beyond. It’s a recipe for hope, understanding, community, and nutritive food choices that resonates across classrooms, libraries, and kitchens.

"My Father's Miraculous Rock Soup story was born at the crossroads of memory and imagination. This story transforms a timeless folktale into a deeply personal story about trust, faith, hope, love and community, and the blessings that are found in small things. I wanted to honor the power of my father’s love, the possibilities in a modest 1960s Bronx kitchen, the influence of family storytelling, and the way a simple meal can hold generations of love. My Father’s Miraculous Rock Soup is both an homage and a gift — to my father, to the past, and to every child learning how to believe.
